Our Founder

We're sure that it comes as no surprise that the Covid years were a struggle for most. For our founder Rudy Castillo that turned out to be especially true. Working 60+ hour weeks with little to show while being in lockdown became the driving for to searching for "something more". With a new found sense of purpose and the determination to learn a new skill; Rudy discovered woodworking. Naturally he started with smaller projects but towards the end of 2020 he found his niche and hit the ground running.

In April of 2021 Rudy's friend presented him with a challenge. He commissioned a set of corn hole boards; something Rudy has never done before. Challenge accepted. Several YouTube videos later and one completed set of boards later and he was hooked. In making that first set of boards Rudy discovered three truths.

The first: Seeing the reaction his friend had upon being presented with the boards was a boost a serotonin he didn't know he was missing. It was infectious.

The Second: The actual creation of the boards themselves was actually a lot easier then he originally thought.

The Third: The cornhole community he discovered both locally and online was incredibly supportive. They welcomed him with open arms, encouraged his ideas, and even shared all of their resources with him.

Today when he isn't creating a pivot table in Excel. Rudy can be found in his garage designing custom bags and building another unique set of boards for his customers. He has already provided boards to clients all over North America.
